Unless you have never met me, then you know I'm a Christmas fanatic. Growing up, Christmas was especially a magical time. My favorite memories are of the Christmases spent at my Grandparent's house in Milford with my cousins. I thought I'd compile a list of some of my favorite Christmastime memories.
1.) Kristin and I setting up our favorite stuffed animals on the couch in the living room every Christmas eve to wait for Santa
2.) Every Christmas morning (usually at like 6 am) Krisitn and I walking up the steps to our parent's bedroom singing "we wish you a merry christmas" to wake them up
3.) My Grandma Williams' "treasure hunts" she would have for all us grandkids. After opening presents she would always have one last "big" present for us and some sort of game or hunt to find where the present was hidden! My two favorites included a treasure hunt that led me to find a scooter in the bathtub when i was like, 5 and a few years later when it led me to the basement to find my new pink bike!
4.) The Christmas Eve candlelight service at the church in Milford
5.) Playing with my cousins on Christmas in Milford. We would always play sardines, or make up dance routines, and we would video tape ourselves just being silly
6.) When Kristin and I were snooping for presents in our parents closet and found two saucer sleds. Kristin felt "guilty" for snooping and told our mom, who then told us they werent for us anyways, they were for our cousins Shane and Shaun. We cried because we really wanted the saucers, and then on Christmas morning there they were under the tree for us!
7.) Baking Christmas cookies with my sister and my dad
8.) Snooping for presents at my grandparents in Milford with all the cousins! (we still do!)
9.) Stocking stuffers. They are my favorite part about Christmas presents!
10.) Decorating the Christmas tree with my sister. Every year we would get out our ornaments and line them up in a row according to the year we got them. Sometimes we would make "scenes" with them. So typical of us.
11.) Writing letters to Santa and leaving cookies, milk, and an apple for rudolph. Then the next morning, reading Santa's reply, and seeing a bite out of the apple!!
12.) Watching Charlie Brown's Chritmas, Frosty the snowman, and the Brady Bunch Christmas. In 1990 these 3 movies were on back to back on TV and we taped them on the VCR. we watch them EVERY year!!!
13.) A newer Christmas tradition is playing catch phrase!! I blogged about this before, but on Christmas in Milford me, Kristin, Michael Kitty, my aunt Tammy, cousin Amanda and her husband Heath and sometimes my mom will all play. It is so much fun, they are the best people to play this game with!
14.) One year when we had a lot of snow us cousins decided to go sledding down the gravel lane at our grandparents. We didnt have sleds so we got out plastic sacks and my dad and Uncle took turns pushing us down the lane!
15.) When we were younger my grandma always gave us girls matching PJ sets. my favorite was when we were reeeeeally little and Me, Kristin and cousin Megan got matching bambi t-shirts. We made up a song called "we are the bambi girls". favorite :-)

This is also quite an amazing list. I think I would add to it sledding down the hills at our old house. You would always go inside LONG before me. But my favorite memory is when we would stand up on our saucers and "surf" down them. That was really quite unsafe. Also, we would try to build "bumps" and try to go so far that we would be in the street. Those were the days!!!
Oh, and for the record, it was definitely YOU who felt guilty with the whole red saucer thing. You told mom at KMart and she had to have a talk with us outside. I was furious at you (you were only like 5 or 6). This was quite the role reversal!!
Ummm no way was I the one who told!!! That is not in my character at all...
